Recently named an All-America City, Asheboro is conveniently located in the heart of North Carolina, approximately 70 miles from both the state capital of Raleigh and its largest city, Charlotte. Asheboro is the largest city in Randolph County and is part of the Piedmont Triad, an area that includes Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem. The county sits in the middle of the Eastern Seaboard and is within 500 miles of half of the nation's population and largest markets. The Piedmont Triad International Airport, six interstate highways, and a score of colleges and universities unite the region.
